Do you happen to have an AMD 5000 or 6000 series GPU? This is an issue I've come across and has something to do with the oceans. You'll have to turn them off to get rid of it. It's one of many known bugs with this group of GPUs and they're working to fix compatibility for them.

This mod turns Sol into a red dwarf for the funnies Right now only features Earth and Luna and it is waaay too bright at Earth distance but I'll figure that out later Install instructions: 1. Download the mod 2. Unzip the mod 3. Merge this folder with your KSA install 4. Enjoy!

Same issue here with a RX 6600 GPU. Dean said something before about AMD 5000 and 6000 series GPUs having problems so they likely already know about this and are working on it. Maybe in the meantime some warning on start-up for users using those sort of GPUs would be nice cos I would've given up...
