It all depends on the licensing model and way of verifying licenses. If the bineries wherent something that needs to be protected (like microsoft does it with windows) one could package them in all maner of formats. My guess (and hop for not having online drm) would be to have drm free versions...

in what form are you planing to distribute the game? (appimage,flatpak,native packed (rpm,deb,...))?

You have my fullest respect for taking this amount of risk to give us hope and fullfill your vision. I hope it pays out. Do you mind me asking whats the rough time span until you have to charge for the game and what the estimated price has to be to continue devolopment?

If i where you i would wait.For one RAM prices are insane (and they will catch up with used computers shortly) and also the game isnt a game yet and will surely support amd gpus fully at some point. Stay here and be part of the community and decide in a year or two if this is worth buying...

I assume all these efforts (KSA development, This site,...) are not only funded by the crowd funding campaing on this site. And i DO hope youre getting paied royaly.

Welcome abord. I would always suggest to play KSP (and KSA) on PC. Youre missing out on a whole lot of mods that help you even more forget time because of space. SpaceDock currently has over 3000 Mods for KSP.

If you wait long enough the game starts but it has texture mapping problems: https://forums.ahwoo.com/threads/gpu-testing-thread.351/page-2#post-3023 This is a known problem with 5000 and 6000 Radeon. im just surprised this hasnt got adressed yet.
