KSA Wiki Weekly Updates

Wiki Wednesday!

I'm starting to wonder how many "w"s have been sent in this thread so far, probably quite a few. Let's add some more! The wiki saw some maintenance since our last update proper, let's see what that includes...

New
Camera view - This one is important but tricky! I spent a good while trying out different orbits to get a hold of how the views are defined. Some of these may not be 100% accurate yet, but they're close enough to get started.

Updates
Main page - Just a little tweak to the layout, less negative space now!
Gauge - New section for context assignments and some overall improvements.
Vehicle editor - Up to date again.
Install guide - Some light cleanup with links and notes.

Looking ahead
Gauge - I want images of each gauge.
HUD - Still in the idea phase.
Ahwoo client - Now that an early version of this is available, it's on the radar to implement a writeup on for KSA install/updating when the time comes.
Monthly roundups - I am planning on starting monthly update videos to recap wiki progress as well as to give an exclusive look at some fun internal stats. More on this next week!

I'm actually liking how the gauge stuff is coming along. There's a lot to dig in to. We had a fun working on that on the wiki editing stream the other day as well! Big thanks to everyone that helped out.

Happy editing!

Wiki Wednesday!

Let's start today by wishing well to everyone on the RocketWerkz and Ahwoo teams at Gamescom! More people learning about the game means more visitors to the wiki, so I'm eager to show off what's been put together!

New
Russian translations - We've received a significant number of Russian translations this week! A huge thanks to STRATOFEL for the hard work. This has been the biggest translation boom since the wiki was started. Really cool to see.
Category:Images of gauges - Fresh subcategory for images.

Updates
Gauge - Each gauge now has an associated image, this makes the page seem much larger!
Resource - Added a column for common usages.
Terminology - Some new real-world terms.

Looking ahead
Gauge - More details per gauge, some individual functions could use description.
Parts - Yes you've heard it before but progress is happening behind the scenes.
Commands - Extra “you’ve heard it before” but they’re back on my radar for some polish.
Translations - Likely more RU to come and hopefully seeing other languages at some point too!

In addition to these weekly posts, you can soon look forward to KSA Wiki Monthly Roundup videos! The first should be uploaded by the end of the week. Basically a retelling of these posts plus a little extra. Thank you all for your continued support, I'll see you in September.

Happy editing!

Wiki Roundup!

Wait a second, it's not Wednesday! Nor is this a weekly update post!
It's a post letting you know about a new video thing I put together: a KSA Wiki Monthly Roundup!

Take a look at what August brought to the wiki. If you prefer videos to forum posts, this may be more up your alley.

Can you find all the bonus gags I included?

Happy editing!

Wiki Wednesday!

September is upon us and you know what that means... The same thing every month means: more wiki editing. But not all edits are the same, are they? Much like the months themselves. Anyways, your updates:

New
Solar System - A compromise on "no real planet pages". This page has begun to detail relevant info on the existing Solar System from a gameplay perspective.
Launch pad - Our first proper ground structure gets its own page.

Updates
Russian translations - Even more translated content has been added. STRATOFEL is a machine!
Command/refill- Further clarifications made.
Terminology - More terms!
Linux install guide - Up to date again thanks to @Jabbawaky.

Looking ahead
Parts - More work on summary tables and starting some pages on more part categories like parachutes, RCS, et cetera.
Cleanup - I'd like to take a pass at any stubs and older articles to bring things up to par as best I can. I don't want to leave too many pages in the dust as more new stuff gets added.

I hope you got to check out the August roundup video! It was fun to put together and the feedback has been positive. Hopefully we see another at the end of this month.

Happy editing!

Wiki Wednesday!

Hello there reader, welcome aboard the wiki train, now taking off from Wednesday Station. Your refreshments en route will consist of the usual spread of new, updates, and anticipated content. Please have your tickets ready for the attendant!

New
Redirects - A handful of common search terms have been redirected to the relevant pages.
Mod - General info on mod stuff like where to find them and how to install them.
Parachute - Oh shoot, chutes!
Reaction control system - Talk about an attitude adjustment.

Updates
Launch pad - Added some coordinate data.
Planned features - Did some cleanup on implemented features.
Commands - Another one added and one updated.
Linux install guide - Up to date again thanks to @Winter.

Looking ahead
Expanding pages - SRBs, chutes, RCS, etc. have room to grow. As mentioned before, I'd like to see valuable pages get some meat on their bones.
Images - I'd like to take a look at existing images and where new ones can be implemented.

What kind of train would the wiki train even be anyways? Steam locomotive, big ol' diesel, Japanese maglev? Don't overthink the metaphor, just think about what you'll get to hear about next Wednesday.

Happy editing!
