Linux: View Spinning Rapidly and Uncontrollably

I've switched distros to see how things are different. They are different and unfortunately worse. Rotating the camera angle results in the view spinning rapidly. I don't know how to best describe it. When I rotate the view, it will sometimes start to spin wildly. I think it might be when...

    WineHQ AppDB Bug Tracker Page

As KSA is not on (will never be on?) Steam, an entry for it will never be on protondb. So, I created a page for it on WineHQ's AppDB. https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=21524

    Framerate limiter does not work

I've noticed this as well. I can only get the framerate to be limited by my monitor's refresh rate or unlimited. And for what it's worth, I'm on Linux with an AMD GPU.

Linux: AMD GPU: Terrain not Rendering

    Linux Discussion

For what it's worth, I'm on Ubuntu 24.04 and the version of protontricks that was getting installed by default from the Ubuntu repos was too old. I needed to remove that and install protontricks with pipx. The older version didn't yet have dotnet9 as an option for install.

Linux: AMD GPU: Terrain not Rendering

I think we really need sections or categories (not sure what they'd be called on this forum) for Linux, Mac, etc. There are alot of people who are not gonna be playing this on Windows.

Linux: AMD GPU: Terrain not Rendering

It's nice to not always have to lump all Linux issues into generic Linux threads.

Linux: AMD GPU: Terrain not Rendering

I've gotten the impression from people on Discord that no one on Linux with an AMD GPU (like myself) is able to see any terrain right now. This seems to be true of any planet/moon. This means the Earth is a giant water world, Luna is invisible, etc. I thought I'd start a thread here to see...

Troubleshooting KSA (Pre-Alpha) on Linux under Wine

You're not getting an out of memory error. The log you posted says "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt." You could try setting this environment variable: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="ntdll.dll=b"
