Positive Points:

  • Smooth and fluid animations.
  • Lightweight, fast, and responsive performance.
Issues & Suggestions:
  1. No option to pause or resume downloads.
  2. No dedicated Game Library section.
  3. No separate Store section.
  4. Multiple games cannot be downloaded simultaneously.
  5. Add estimated download time (ETA) next to download speed.
  6. No warning or notification when the internet connection is lost.
Overall:
Ahwoo Launcher is fast, lightweight, and visually smooth, but it needs better download management, improved organization, and clearer connection status notifications.

Thank you for your quick response! I really appreciate it.

I also have a few additional suggestions that could improve the launcher:
  1. System Tray Support: Add an optional system tray icon that can be enabled or disabled in Settings.
  2. Close Button Behavior: Allow users to choose whether clicking the X button minimizes the launcher to the tray or exits completely, with an option to remember the last choice.
  3. Game Names in Sidebar: Display each game's name below its icon in the left sidebar.
  4. Download Progress: Show the download progress percentage below each game's name when multiple games are downloading simultaneously.
  5. Update Notifications: When a game needs an update, display "Update Required" below its name instead of the download progress indicator.
Thanks again for your hard work and responsiveness! I'm looking forward to seeing how Ahwoo Launcher evolves.

  1. Yes, this is planned! Currently we don't do a good job of managing the Windows Ahwoo Service as well, so we'll look at that at the same time.
  2. Will do!
  3. We won't do this as we don't have room in the sidebar. If you hover the game's icon then you can see the game name that way. In the next major release of the Ahwoo client (after Neutrino) we will look library interface with more features, we've kept this release intentionally small to get it out quickly.
  4. Yes! We will also add support for downloading multiple games at once and watching their progress.
  5. I agree that the status text below the play / update button could do with another pass. We'll take a look.
Thanks again for your feedback!
