If you're a new player (to Gruntz or CM), you will not know what is and isn't explosive until you see it exploding.
I don't have any concrete stats but roughly 33% or so of the players currently in-game have the new player icon (yes some had to make an account, whatever).
It would be nice if explosive items or things that can explode had a warning in the mouse over or had maybe a red highlight outline when moused over, so that new players know they are dangerous.
