The Huey now has a real electrical system. A battery cell sits inside the hull, the cabin lights, nav lights and instruments drain it while the bus is live, and the generator recharges it once the engine turns.
Starting the engine is a checklist: BAT, FUEL PUMP and GEN switches on the flight console, then ignition. Press I (ignition) or Space (takeoff) while parked and the next switch still off flips on, so hammering either key walks the whole checklist for you. The console goes dark on a dead bus with only POWER, ENGINE and DOORS left.
Fuel pressure: with the pump on, pressure builds to full over about five seconds and the start needs it high. A running engine that loses pressure quits, and aloft that is a stall. The console POWER block shows FUEL PRES as OFF, RISING, LOW or NOMINAL with a starving caution, and the refusal banner tells you why a start was refused.
The starter always keeps one start in reserve: when the cell runs low the load shed cuts the lights and instruments first, so a flat-looking Huey can still be started.
The instrument cluster is now a two by two block: FUEL and ROTOR RPM over FUEL PRES and BATTERY.
New sounds: a 25 second start, an 8 second shutoff, switch clicks for every switch, a fuel pump loop while the engine is off, and door and belt sounds. Other riders hear the clicks too.
The turbine exhaust shimmers in a heat haze while the engine runs, streaming aft and turning with the hull.
A landing hull crushes anyone standing under its footprint, alive or dead, and the pilot gets the credit. Walls and crates still refuse the landing as before.
Combat
Tracers from a helicopter gunner or an upper-floor shooter firing down a hole now draw all the way to the ground. Anyone looking at the ground sees the round leave the sill or the hole and continue below, and a viewer above sees it carry on through the lower layer.
M2 and MK19 gunners can go prone while mounted (Shift+R), staying mounted, braced and firing. Dismounting leaves you prone beside the gun.
AI
Zombies and xenos chasing you follow you into a parked vehicle through an open door, fight inside parked or airborne, and walk out after landing. A mob can also spot and go after someone seated in a parked cabin. The queen never boards, and marches, sabotage and nest routing still avoid cabins.
A mob standing in a doorway cell blocks it like any other occupant, so holding the door with bodies works.
Fixes
Several client crashes fixed: a dead player right-clicking past the map edge or while watching from a vehicle cabin, a detonation inside a cabin, and flame or extinguisher jets and tracers on a cabin that had only just appeared.
Construction and drop placement ghosts now draw inside a helicopter cabin, turned with the hull, so the M2 tripod ghost sits where the tripod will land.
Server
--ahwoo require is a new server mode: every joiner must have a verified Ahwoo account, and anyone who would have fallen back to the hardware id identity under prefer is rejected with a clear notice on the client.
