Close discord suggestion channel

There's a huge disparity between the discord suggestion channel and here in terms of volume, it would be better for the discord users to be directed to this forum instead.

Here here! It takes time and consideration to format a forum post, and is, IMO, far superior for discussion than DMs.

Chat is for 1:1, forums are for ideas shared and discussed among many.

Oh how I wish this were true.

But yeah I get the sentiment. I'm always interested in driving more forum activity. Those threads being called "forums" on Discord also makes easy confusion when someone just mentions "the forums". That being said I don't expect RW to just close it completely. It's up to us to help drive more traffic here!

Yeah but it was made before the forums existed, it's hard to replace the discord now considering there is 50k members already

By that logic we would be still using IRC.
i think the " is discord a service that pairs well well with this project" is for another thread one could/should start.

The discord has to use two layers of bot protection just to not get spammed.
It would be nice to keep it for real-time chat, but there's a lot there that can be apart of subforums.
