Selecting target?

How does one select another vessel as a target? I see there's a target mode for the HUD, so I'm eager to start practicing my orbital maneuvers and see if I can dock anything (or if docking isn't implemented yet, at least make them kiss in orbit).

It does not appear to be possible at the moment. So I guess the HUD elements are just placeholders for now.

Shift-click (like targeting a planet) seems to work on my end.

Hmm! I was playing for a few hours and couldn't figure it out. The only way I found to target anything was using the transfer planner. Not as intuitive as KSP, but it's early days.

Oh! Shift-click did work, but I had to do it from the orbital view.

I'm used to selecting objects directly in view like in KSP.
