Oh My Stars - Tour the constellations of the celestial sphere! The mod adds a window with several options and abilities.

- See the Constellations drawn as lines between their identifying stars - including Constellations of many different cultures!
- An informational window shows various aspects of each star currently part of a constellation

Options exist for using the Stars as your guideposts to navigation!
Crudely navigate your way through the cosmos:

- Navball marker may be toggled using the window showing the currently selected Star's orientation

- A button is provided to orient the current vessel towards the star, taking control of the flight computer's orientation target

Once the devs add the new planets, and presumably new stars, will the mod support defining new constellations? I see lots of yarn ball, mouse, and bird constellations being found in Kitten lore. Maybe even a Milky Bowl instead of Milky Way.

That can easily be done apart from deciding on the new constellations subjectively.

To myself it would not make tons of sense to use a totally alien star arrangement - but we'll see. In either case the mod can be made to accommodate both using a totally different star map and also go back to the current one as an option. I have another mod made locally to on the fly change the properties of stars that get rendered, but I haven't put it up as a published thing - I might wait until the new solar system comes along, and as I mull over how to make that mod and Oh My Stars work together (or roll it into OMS)
