This is awesome!! Thank you for sharing. For others who haven't seen @Infinite_Spaces. messages in the KSA Discord, here's some more media

p.s.
I've moved your thread to the KSA Modding Tools board as it's related to creating content rather than help playing the game.

Thanks all, and sorry for posting in the wrong place mods.

RE: Promoting the pack.

While my initial intention was to hope that any popularity this pack might gain globally, might provide some returns in the forms donations to KSA, since its documentation contains links to game.

After some thought i have personally decided not fully promote the pack, since it is a pretty rare and valuable resource, and the advantage it provides this community (and hopefully Linx) is pretty big, especially when the game really needs alot of new planets right now.

So while it is of-course public source, i personally feel there is no need give away this key advantage beyond what is needed for KSA by sharing the links too far and wide.

What im saying is this promote it if you want, but remember, the moment it goes mainstream, every studio will have the same advantage, whether you like it or not.

The internet archive links are also not currently searchable by the wider public, since i left in the test area. Only direct links to the page and files work.

Just my thoughts, anyway, hope you find the pack useful. :)

Seriously awesome stuff, man! Looks so detailed.
I know right! It was honestly hard deleting some of the data, since i got to look through all of it, but had to go from 400-2000 per category, down to just 50.

The other non obvious thing here, is how much useful detail these bring, if you look at that one big 8K sphere example, that was a single stroke/stamp, and pretty much that whole side is done. This means better planets faster, leaving more time for texture painting!

Docs v1.1 change log:

- Finalized the docs with official links for this thread and the post on my DA

- Fixed various typos and rearranged some page elements for better flow

- Added example use images

- Added blender correct setup image

- Added brush types examples for each of three types, from both 4 and 8K sets

- Improved clarity of batch download links

- Added the main scripts code and an AI generated description of it.

- Improved the stolen kittens ASCii art, it is now in color.

- Removed the direct archive.org link*, the test area is still a mess, and needs cleaning up.
(all direct and previous links still work)

- Multiple other minor changes.

Docs v1.1 known issues:

- *The internet archive page is still unlisted to the general public, i am currently adding more data like the raw source .tif files,
as well as the fully in-filled, ~180K x ~60Kpx, 20GB DEM used for processing.

- Once this file is up, and if someone has the script from this version of docs, they would be able to reprocess the entire thing any way they need to, with a fresh start.

- Thumbnails are all the same on the internet archive page, these will be updated once the last of the files are up.

Please report any issues with the pack below.

Docs v1.2 change log:

- Added approx real world area sizes available from the 4 and 8K tiles.

- Other minor html fixes.

- Added links for both the source 16Bit .Tif DEM's, as well as the 20GB post inpaint source .Tif used for processing.

- This links to some ~121GB of additional source data, and is not required to use the asset catalogs'.

- The internet archive page has been thoroughly cleaned up, properly tagged, and made open to the general public for searches.

- The direct internet archive pages link has been added to the top of the documents, as well as a link to python.

- Special thanks to whoever at the internet archive alerted me to the fact that the data was mostly in the wrong place, and flagged for deletion in 30 days.

- And a big hug for them, to then proceed to move to all the data to the correct place, so i didn't have to upload it all a second time.

- This should mark the final update to this project, if there are any issues leave a post here or message me, and i will look in to it.
