Generally it's a known issue, except maybe specifically wrt SOI. If it were easy to fix they'd already have, so i'm asking for a temporary workaround that would be easy to implement.

On AMD GPU (RX6700XT) SOI sphere causes similar artifacts as orbit lines in front of atmosphere, but much more severe. Request option to turn off SOI sphere rendering all together.
