While trying to reproduce a bug with maneuvers, the game crashed.

Here's exactly what I did:
  1. Loaded up the game, set Gemini7 (the parts vessel) to prograde, fired engine, stopped after just a few seconds
  2. Switched between vessels to check on Rocket, fired its engine to notice it starting tumbling (currently expected, not the bug)
  3. Back with Gemini7, went to map view, double click on Luna to focus view on it.
  4. Opened Transfer Planner (view "View" menu, not directly with F4), selected Gemini6a as source and Luna as target, calculated burn, clicked create.
  5. Switched to flight view, noticed the burn panel was inactive, realized I had planne for the wrong vessel, went back to map view and redid the planning for Gemini7 and Luna
  6. Auto executed the burn plan
  7. After successful burn, used RCS in manual mode to edge Pe closer to Luna surface (did this in map view)
  8. Back in flight view, I hit "warp to SOI" on simulation time UI panel, let vehicle warp to Luna SOI (I wanted to hear the Luna music)
  9. THIS IS THE BUG: After Luna encounter, back in map view, I wanted to set a maneuver at Pe to circularize. Clicking on the orbit line did nothing. I was utterly confused. Poking around in map view (switching between control and not control via Tab key multiple times), I noticed that there was still a maneuver "ball" in Luna orbit. I clicked on it, got the maneuver UI window, hit "delete burn". That was the burn plan for Gemini6a. There was yet another yellow maneuver ball for my already completed Luna encounter maneuver. After deleting both, I was able to set a new maneuver plan for circulization.
  10. THE CRASH: I wanted to reproduce the bug, so I fired up OBS and hit the record button. In game, I did another burn plan for Gemini6a and Luna and then experimented with just clicking on orbit lines to see what would work. At one point doing this, the game just crashed. No error message, just gone.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide log files or anything because after every installation of a new version, my "run as administrator" flag is reset and I haven't set it yet (or logs are now in a different place and I can't find them anymore).

I have a video of how the crash happened:

Game Version:
  • 2025.11.3.2634
PC specs:
  • Windows 11
  • AMD Ryzen 9 9950X
  • 64GB RAM DDR5 6000

Sorry, I have no idea. Could be an issue with the game loading all the parts at once, or something along the lines of that, if the way parts are coded is similar to KSP. It is likely the devs will get bug reports of this more when the public build releases, if it is prevalent, and it may be fixed.
(Not an expert, don't quote me on this.) :)

Marking this as solved, since some of the behaviors I thought were part of the bug are (for the time) intentional.

I am not sure but I thinik I hit the bug. I was trying to land on earth in europe. Few settigs of maneovers, few automatic manouvers, some manually executed becouse flight compter dinied firing them by itself. Then it began spamming console with:
System.Exception: Rocket reached the end of its patch, but there is no next patch
at KSA.VehicleUpdateTask.ApplyFullPhysics()
at KSA.VehicleUpdateTask.ApplySingleVehicleMotion(VehicleUpdateState vehicleState)
at KSA.VehicleUpdateTask.DoWorkAndStageResults()
at KSA.VehicleUpdateTask.Run()
Update task failed for vehicle(s): Rocket

as soon as I tried aproching earth for the second or third time. I am on v2025.11.6.2829
