I feel the contributions so far a little bit underwhelming...how do the devs feel about it?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the development of KSA, and based on what I’ve gathered, it seems like the financial situation for both Rocketwerkz and Mr. Hall (who, as I understand it, had to liquidate some personal assets to help fund the project) might be a bit strained at the moment (that is just my personal impression obvisously and hopefully wrong).
With that in mind, I was curious about how the devs, or Mr. Hall himself, view the contributions that have been collected so far.
Are you happy with the amount raised so far, or was there an expectation for a bit more at this stage?
Looking forward to hearing from the devs or anyone who might have some insight into this aspect of the project.
Thanks!

The sentiment I've seen expressed some so far in Discord is that they're just glad anything is coming in to begin with. They also anticipate that more people will be more willing to contribute more money as KSA develops into a more fully realized "game". Which makes sense.

I didnt contribute yet just because i couldnt be bothered to enter my credit card details. If there were more options so i could do it with one click, like paypal or apple pay (which i use both already) then contributions might be a bit higher. But 50k or whatever it was last time i looked is pretty good for just random donations for an early demo of a niche game that just dropped imo 😆.

Edit: oh there is Apple Pay 💰 i just contributed 👍 and it’s up to 85k now. Seems to be still rising fast.

I would like to see more tiers of monthly financial support commitments; it jumps from $5 to $20 a month, and there needs to be a custom option for people willing to commit to a monthly support. I feel like $10/mo is suitable for an incomplete game that I still want to encourage development on. I contributed $20 to allow them time to establish more tiers for contribution.

Well that's good to hear.
I personally thought of the contributions as being a bit underwhelming since what has been collected so far barely pays one dev for a year, that is the perspective I am looking at it.

I wonder how many of the people who get the game are, like me, broke engineering students who can't afford the game yet. I also wonder how many of them, once they have a stable source of income will be willing to donate more.
