How to Report Bugs

Found a bug or technical issue with Ahwoo? Reporting it here helps us fix problems and improve the platform for everyone.

For feature suggestions or general feedback, use the Feedback & Suggestions section instead.

Before You Report

  • Search to see if someone has already reported the same issue
  • If the bug is already reported, upvote it and add any additional details or context to that thread
  • Check if the issue still occurs after refreshing the page or clearing your cookies and browser cache

What to Include in Your Report

The more detail you provide, the easier it is to reproduce and fix the issue.

Essential Information:

  • What you were trying to do - What action were you attempting?
  • What happened instead - What went wrong?
  • What you expected to happen - What do you think should have happened?
  • Browser and OS - e.g., Chrome on Windows 11, Safari on macOS, Firefox on Linux
  • Steps to reproduce - Can you make it happen again? How?

Helpful Extras:

  • Screenshots or screen recordings showing the issue
  • Error messages (exact text or screenshots)
  • Console errors (if you know how to access browser dev tools)
  • Whether the issue happens on mobile, desktop, or both

Example Bug Report

Good:
When I try to edit my profile bio, clicking the "Save" button does nothing. The page doesn't refresh and the changes aren't saved. I'm using Chrome 118 on Windows 11. This happens every time I try to save.

Steps:
1. Go to profile settings
2. Edit bio text
3. Click "Save"
4. Nothing happens - changes aren't saved

Less helpful:
Profile editing is broken

What Happens Next

  • Bug reports are reviewed and prioritised based on severity and impact
  • Critical issues affecting many users are addressed quickly
  • Minor issues or edge cases may take longer
  • Updates will be posted in your thread when there's progress

Questions?

If you're not sure whether something is a bug or expected behaviour, report it anyway. Better to ask than leave a potential issue unreported.
