Logs

Attaching logs makes it much easier for others to help diagnose your issue.

• You can find the log file at <YourUsername>\Documents\My Games\Kitten Space Agency\Logs\KittenSpaceAgency.log
• If the log file is missing or empty, check Windows Event Viewer for potential info
  • Open Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application > Find > "KSA"
  • Look for entries with source ".NET Runtime" or "Application Error" around
the time you tried to launch.

Same Problem For me

[dbmorpher]

I'm getting the same

Game version: v2026.10.7.5541
OS: Windows 11 Home 10.0.26200
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT
Driver: 32.0.21045.5002 (dated 2026-08-16)
Resolution / mode: 1920x1080 fullscreen, default settings (fresh `settings.toml`)

The game crashes about 1 second after launch, every time, before any menu appears. It happens on a clean first run with default settings and on every later launch.

Log excerpt:

WARN Device supports only -1 update-after-bind sampled images per set; bindless texture capacity reduced from 1024
ERROR Unhandled exception System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Non-negative number required. (Parameter 'capacity')
   at System.Collections.Generic.List`1..ctor(Int32 capacity)
   at Brutal.Collections.FreeListIndexPool..ctor(Int32 capacity, Boolean allowResize)
at RenderCore.Systems.BindlessTextureLibrary..ctor(IVulkanContext ctx, Int32 maxTextures, VkShaderStageFlags extraShaderStages)
   at KSA.Program..ctor(IReadOnlyList`1 inArgs)
   at KSA.Program.Main(String[] inArgs).

Likely cause?
The device limit for update-after-bind sampled images (probably `maxDescriptorSetUpdateAfterBindSampledImages` / `maxPerStageDescriptorUpdateAfterBindSampledImages`) shows up as -1. AMD drivers report some of these limits as `UINT32_MAX` (0xFFFFFFFF). If that value is cast to a signed `int`, it becomes -1, and the clamp then picks -1 instead of 1024. Clamping the value as unsigned, or treating it as "no limit," should fix it.

[dbmorpher]

I've made a workaround, the issue is Vulkan was looking for the number of textures to bind. The Radeon GPU says "unlimited" and Vulkan reads it as "-1", none. Here's the fix that worked for me, let me know if there are any bugs. I can post in mods if helpful
