Solved Pc specs for White screen then close on start

Im having the same issue with the white screen, then it immediately closing. Here are my specs:

My setup doesn't even get to a white screen, the executable just fails to launch or gets stuck without rendering a window.
No other game or software has ever done this for reference, and I run a bunch of weird game demos and software without issue

It works fine on my Win11 22H2 laptop with 7840HS (32GB) + 4060M (NV 552.12 Driver) right after a DotNet install too.

I'm also getting a weird message in powershell, tldr, "Access Denied" when trying to kill the process, reboot/logoff didn't seem to do anything (stuck process comes back right after trying to launch again)

Specs:
9800X3D, 64GB DDR5 RAM
RTX 3080ti with Nvidia Driver 551.86 ( Vulkan Instance Version: 1.3.275 )
Windows 10 20H2

MSI Afterburner isn't the cause as a fresh login with nothing running causes the same issue. I wish I had logs as to why the executable is failing even with DotNet installed

Okay, switched it manually by the settings to windowed, and it shows as interrupted when looking at it in task manager a bit before it crashes if that's any help, going to sleep for now so won't be able to help much, apologies

Two quick guesses:
Try a redownload and clean reinstall of the game
Try updating your graphics drivers.

Drivers up to date as stated above, just did a reinstall and persists

I have the same problem, i put every settings that i could find on false to be able to even launch the game, but none of it work and i just have a white screen for two seconds before it crashing. If you have any fixes, it would be amazing !

Windows Ransomware protection protects the Documents folder, consequently preventing access to the "My Games" folder.

By adding the My Games folder ([User_profile]\Documents\My Games) as an exception, the game opened normally, creating the folder and configuration files normally.

Everytime i get to the system loader and try loading a system, no matter what i choose it goes to a white screen then crashes

By adding the My Games folder ([User_profile]\Documents\My Games) as an exception, the game opened normally, creating the folder and configuration files normally.

Can you confirm your GPU model for us? Your game actually gets to selecting settings and a system, some of us can't even get the game to show a window or display settings which is kinda even worse Lol

Most of these crashes during system loading, post-settings changes is just because you do not have enough GPU memory (over 8GB VRAM).

Set the textures + shadow maps for everything even lower, and I got Earth and Moon working on a RTX 4060M after a few attempts. It needed at least 5.6GB VRAM, on Nvidia Driver 552.12 on Windows 11 22H2 (So, older OS, older Driver) for reference

I fixed the problem by updating my Nvidia drivers

Can you tell us what version you had *before* the update, and what version you have currently?
Also, what version of Windows do you have? Was the game showing the settings *then* crashing, or did it not show any screen or run at all?

Hi, looking at error code seems to be an error on finding Vulkan compatible gpu i think, got one but after checks in the registry something is wrong with my vulkan install, gonna use DDU to full wipe drivers and clean install, wish me luck i'll report back
