That's pretty cool! I'm trying to expand on my efforts to do engineering outreach and early career development and I agree games like KSP or what KSA can become are great tools that student can really enjoy. You might have to share some pro tips some time!

All true. It's a whole other pipeline for developing, troubleshooting, & QA and it adds up. Each platform could well imply multiple additional employees each. I think at least in regards to macOS there are lots of opportunities in the educational space that would help justify the effort...

I think there's a lot of opportunity in not just "futuristic" engines but variants and offshoots of existing ones for variety's sake. Radial engines, engines that are really long, anything to add some extra options or considerations to vessel design. More exotic engines branch out to other types...
