It all depends on the licensing model and way of verifying licenses. If the bineries wherent something that needs to be protected (like microsoft does it with windows) one could package them in all maner of formats. My guess (and hop for not having online drm) would be to have drm free versions...

If i where you i would wait.For one RAM prices are insane (and they will catch up with used computers shortly) and also the game isnt a game yet and will surely support amd gpus fully at some point. Stay here and be part of the community and decide in a year or two if this is worth buying...

Welcome abord. I would always suggest to play KSP (and KSA) on PC. Youre missing out on a whole lot of mods that help you even more forget time because of space. SpaceDock currently has over 3000 Mods for KSP.
