The more detail you provide, the easier it is to reproduce and fix the issue.
I edited ...\Kitten Space Agency\Content\Core\PartGameData.xml, adding at line 927:
<PartGameData Id="CoreStructuralA_Prefab_SurfaceAttachMount1WA">
<DockingPort ConnectorId = "_connector31" Force="700"/>
</PartGameData>
When making my craft, I connected Prefab_SurfaceAttachMount1WA to the front of each craft
Here's a copy of the log, but nothing was recorded prior to the crash for about 45 minutes:
- What you were trying to do:
- Dock two craft in Earth orbit at 262km altitude
- What happened instead:
- Upon clicking "Dock" in the right click menu, but craft vanished, then a second later, the game crashed to desktop with no error message
- What you expected to happen:
- I expected the craft to dock and become a single craft
- Browser and OS:
- Chrome and Windows 11 Home version 10.0.26200 Build 26200
- Intel i7-10700K CPU on a Z490-A Prom (MS-7C75 mobo) 64GB RAM
- Nvidia 5090 Founders Edition (32 GB VRAM)
- Steps to reproduce
- Load savegame, and attempt to dock
- Repeated it from the save game, and it happened again - this time without the docking camera on
- On second inspection, unlike the first time, the vessels appeared docked for a split second, with the camera shifting, before crash to desktop
- Screenshots or screen recordings showing the issue:
- Error messages
- No error message, just crash to desktop
- Console errors (if you know how to access browser dev tools)
