KSA application not starting up at all

For those that are getting nothing open up when starting KSA, once I installed the latest .Net 9.0 runtime, it started up fine.

Download .NET 9.0 Desktop Runtime (v9.0.11) - Windows x64 Installer

dotnet.microsoft.com

If the link doesn't work, search for .Net 9.0 runtime (you'll likely need the desktop version). Usually no restart is required.

I also would like to say to the developers, I was blown away by the quality of the game. You are already way ahead of all other space sims I've played. Keep up the great work!!!

Thanks for the link, it solved my problem

In my case, a dialog box with the correct link does appear, but clicking it doesn't launch any browser. It doesn't allow copying the text, it would be nice as a backup in case the browser doesn't launch ;-)

Since you got the game working, do you mind telling us your GPU model, Windows Version (ie Win 10 22H2 or Win11 23H2 etc) and Graphics Driver revision (ie, AMD 24.4.1 or Nvidia 555.xx)

Windows 10 Home (Version 22H2 build 19045.6466)
AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT (AMD Adrenalin Edition 25.11.1)
Intel i7-8700K 3.7GHz

I had to lower the configuration, otherwise it crashes after several minutes without showing anything. There are also quite a lot of graphical glitches.

Yeah. The AMD graphical glitches are a known issue, the best you can do is disable Atmosphere rendering, and/or Ocean to see if that helps.
Main thing is, keep the texture and shadermap settings down to prevent you from running out on 8GB of VRAM. Plus, being on the Earth + Moon scenario will reduce the out of memory issues as it absolutely struggles with 8GB VRAM at the moment.

Good to know Windows 10 22H2 works, at least. It'll be a while before this is fixed, but have fun in the meantime
