Hello everyone! I'm gutza1, a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering, amateur video game developer, and long-time spaceflight and worldbuilding enthusiast who was following KSP all the way back in middle school, before even its release on Steam. I'll admit that I stopped following KSP after 2014 as I was dissatisfied with the game's limitations and I didn't have a good enough computer to install the mods that might have addressed them. I originally had high hopes for KSP2, but there's no need retelling that story. So far it seems that KSA is shaping up to be exactly what I had originally wanted KSP2 to be - not just a successor to KSP, but a far more capable platform for modders and the wider community to build off of. I am eagerly awaiting future updates.
As for my own game development projects, I started out as a team member of The New Order: Last Days of Europe, a mod for Hearts of Iron IV. I eventually became the lead of its space race patch, but I and my collaborators decided to go our own way due to creative differences with the rest of the team and the limitations of the mod. We have turned that into The Final Front, an alt-history space program management simulator set in a world where the Axis powers won WW2 (cliche, I know). TFF is supposed to focus much more on the organizational management and politics side of spaceflight, something most space games gloss over. It's also supposed to heavily feature real life historical figures and narrative content involving them. We think TFF will be a space game unlike anything available. If anyone is interested, we have our own Discord server where we provide weekly updates: https://discord.gg/dbazvm3H87
