First off: what this post is not: it is not any sort of complaint or comment about the kittens, and is not intended to start, or involve, whatsoever, anything about the choice of Kittens or what any of us think about it, good, bad or neutral. It's also not an actual wishlist item or suggestion.
What it is: my brain threw a a very silly thought at me, and I decided to share it and see if anybody else had any other funny thoughts or ideas about it.
The actual content: so, a while back, just kinda out of nowhere, while I was looking at KSA somewhere or other (ie: here or KSA subreddit), I found myself wondering: if, somewhere in their exploration of their little kitty universe, our intrepid space explorers encountered aliens, what, if they stay thematically, and roughly morphologically consistent with the kittens, might they be.
Without missing a beat (and perhaps influenced by my BG3 save that I had recently put a few more hours into, and am totally gone finished someday, I swear) my brain kicks up an answer that I am both satisfied with, and very amused by: Miniature Giant Space Hamsters
So I started wondering: in a universe where spacefaring species follow that general sort of vibe, what others might there be? So, who has some more ideas about what else might be out there, populating those stars that the kittens are looking up at, and setting out to explore.
