It would be nice to be able to prevent certain threads from showing up in the Trending and What's New sections. Something like the opposite of the Watch button. This would not actually hide the thread in the forum and it could still be accessed. It would only affect activity updates.
Examples:
There's a (hypothetical) popular thread about Star Trek in the Off-Topic forum that is always at the top of Trending, but I'm a die-hard Stargate fan! I'd like to click Suppress on the thread page so it doesn't clog up Trending, given that I'm never going to click on it.
For some reason I (hypothetically) hate mods. I guess I'm a KSA purist? I don't want to see any Mod Release discussion in the What's New section. I'd like to click Suppress on the forum page so that no threads from the Mod Releases forum clog up What's New for me, since there's a new mod a day in this community (amazing!).
