What Borea does

• Browse the content index and install mods with their dependencies, into separate instances of the game, so one modded setup never breaks another
• Update and remove mods, and let Borea take over mods you installed by hand
• Mod packs: create an instance from a pack and move it between pack versions
• Launch through StarMap with the right instance, and see which mod was loading when the game crashed for easy debugging
• Saves and vehicles per instance, with backups you can restore
• Share a mod with a link that opens it in Borea, on Discord, the forums and social media
• Windows, Linux and macOS (Apple silicon), as a desktop app and a command line

Updates itself from now on
v0.2.0 is the last version you need to download by hand. Unpack the Borea folder somewhere it can stay, and "Update now" on the Home banner takes care of every later release.

For mod authors
"List or change your mod" in the App now writes your listing, checks it while you type and opens the pull request for you, so listing your mod is even easier! New releases on GitHub or SpaceDock are picked up on their own.

Good to know

• Builds are not code signed yet, so Windows and macOS might need one extra step on the first start. The release page says what to click.
• It is still early. If something looks wrong, it probably is, and we want to hear about it.
• Borea is a community project by the KSA Modding team, not made by RocketWerkz.
