    Update on Public Build Timeline

I added a reply to the linux thread to not hijack this thread.

    One True Linux Thread™

I'll answer here to not hijack the other thread: I used Lutris. Add Proton or wine under settings/starter/wine (the symbol to the right of 'wine'). Then select the plus sign on the top left of the main window. 'Install Windows game from an executable'. Add a name for the new game (Kitten Space...

The 10 features that would make the game much more in-depth (My opinion)

Getting this right will be quite hard. I liked how testflight worked in ksp, with lots of failures for untested parts that would be expected and high reliability later. Other ways are exciting in theory. But in reality you would just add duplicate parts on your craft which really isn't that...

    Update on Public Build Timeline

Using linux with a somewhat aged nvidia card I really didn't expect the first public build to run smooth (or at all). But it just did. You did a great job!

    Linux Discussion

@ShadowZone vsCodium is a good alternative for notepad++, and has all the features you mentioned. I don't know about Backblaze and SyncbackFree, so yeah, linux might not be an option for you right now. I think if you use lutris you would have a specific wine install for ksa, where you can easily...

Video Four BIG Challenges for Kitten Space Agency - video by ShadowZone

I think another factor is streamers playing the game. Back in the early days of ksp several youtube channels that were popular were playing the game and introduced lots of people to it. The game being free to try allowed those to check it out right away and probably was a factor for its...

    Linux Discussion

I installed the alpha with lutris today. Had to add dotnet9desktop via winetrickts, but otherwise it worked just fine. I'm on mint sporting a rtx3060 and ryzen 5600x. It works with wine-ge-8-26 which I should actually upgrade. The most comfortable solution would be to have a flatpak available...

    Pair Repairs and Mission Problems

I like the idea. But in KSP I sooner or later always removed the mods adding failures. It always ended feeling annoying. The better approach for me was having contracts that you could choose. You would have part failures then and a mission to fix these. This was actually fun then.

    Hi! KSA looks promising!

I've been playing KSP since early 2013 and still play it today. I didn't trust T2 to do a good job with KSP2 and kept waiting to see if it turns out to be actually good. Seems I'll be waiting indefinitely. KSA on the other hand looks really promising. I like the approach the team is taking and...
