My name is Attila, also known as Raketenmann.
I am the creator of KSPico, a framework for building modular hardware controllers for Kerbal Space Program:
https://gitlab.com/attila.strba/kspico

In addition to that, I teach children in schools using Kerbal Space Program to spark their interest in technology.
Feel free to check out my blog posts about it:

I’m looking forward to becoming an active part of the KSA community, and I would love to introduce KSA to school kids as well.

Welcome to the forums, Raketenmann!

Thank you for teaching your students about Kerbal Space Program. You are inspiring young minds and impacting the future of spaceflight.

Dean stated he aims to make KSA a helpful resource for educators and students. He plans on focusing the project towards aiding both classes and enthusiasts- so, hopefully, you can someday teach your students with a classroom version of KSA tuned to your specific needs.

Thanks Kraken so much for your kind words! I am really looking forward to it.

In just 2 weeks I am starting a new course in a gymnasium where students will be building controllers with RaspberryPI Pico for KSP. I have received some budget and have to buy 6 KSP licenses. I wish I could just give that money to KSA. But as I watch how super rapidly the game develops I think there will be no time and I can exchange KSP with KSA. And at least I could invest some of my private money for KSA. And I will do this monthly now.

The best feature KSA is already offering is to have multi monitor support so I will be able to build up a kind of mission control. I am also happy to support the mod development especially going to the direction of kRPC or Simpit for the hardware controllers.

I have also spread the word at our company Ororatech (we build and lunch satellites to detect forest fires) about KSA. We are huge fans of KSP. And I owe KSP sooo much. Not only KSP made it possible for me to teach kids but I got the job at Ororatech partly due to things i have learned about rockets and orbital mechanics from KSP.

So really looking forward cool times to come ;)

No problem, dude!
Sending you best regards on your upcoming course, I bet your students will have a blast.

A great part of Rocketwerkz’s potential business model is that classrooms and teachers (like you) can download many copies of the game for free, with optional donation.

It will truly be no time until KSA can be practiced in these real, educational settings.

The Multi-window elements are awesome. I don’t have much more to add besides how cool they are.

I have never heard of Ororatech, thanks for telling me about it. I have heard lots of stories similar to yours about people entering aerospace-like careers with credit to KSP. I am standing alongside many in hoping that KSA will be just as significant in influence.

One more fun fact this year as SpaceX was delaying launch of a satellite we had to buy a Rocket from Rocketlabs to launch our constelation from New Seeland.

Then few months later again New Seeland picks up my favourit game development. If this continues like this I have to consider moving to NZ :) :) :)

> I have never heard of Orarotech
Ororatech is a small German Startup, but with big dreams. We try to cover earth to detect forest fires from space. Btw you are from Canada right? If all goes well in a year we should cover your country aswell. We got a nice offer from CSA so really looking forward to cover your backyard :)
