Alternative Discord account validation

Currently your official Discord is configured to have mandatory account phone validation. My guess it is done to prevent spam.
For some users (such as me) this is a dealbreaker, I will not provide my phone number to Discord under any circumstances, especially in light of latest data leak.

Maybe you can use some different validation method, mandatory account linking to this forum, for example?

Australia now requires age verification for social apps.
But honestly, email is just good enough. I don't want to log in via Discord, and certainly not with Google or Facebook lol

Well, all I can say, I'm not from Australia or Britain.
The issue is, I just sitting there in discord right now and can't post anything because of this requirements. I do know it is possible for moderator to handpick someone and validate on the server, but this is not a sustainable long term solution.

I believe you are referring to the KSA Discord – that is a RocketWerkz space and not controlled by Ahwoo.

For me i wasn't even able to add my phone number - initially. It said my phone number was not valid. It did that on the PC version of the website. But on the Android App, i was able to add it.
