Do you have a GPU? Do you have a weird GPU? Does the game run really well, really poorly, or do strange things on your system? Share it here!

We'll use a similar post format to the One True Linux Thread™ folks:

Note: CPU Vendor and ID are combined to save column space. It's an important consideration for this thread, but not as important as the GPU info (and AMD and Intel tend not to step on each other's name spaces as much).

Windows 11 22H2Ryzen 7840HS32NvidiaRTX 4060M8*552.122560x1440165/83Game will crash at stock settings due to out of VRAM, but reduced settings down two tiers for each config gets it running at ~5.6GB VRAM reported with the Earth and Moon situation. Performance is Vsync'd to 83 and consistent otherwise, even at 1440P Borderless. Crashes when pressing ] and lags laptop, possibly due to out of VRAM but returns to normal shortly after
I'm not upgrading my OS or drivers either as my system is stable for every other game including newish vulkan ones, and things will only get worse tbh. :(

I would really prefer if someone could test the game on another system with my OS, but updated driver to make it obvious where the issue is. Or the reverse, something like Windows 22H2 with Driver 551/550 to see what the **minimum** working config is worst case, even with *good* hardware.

It's not Windows defender (No logs, and exception added), it's not DotNet not being installed. Trying DotNet 8.0 via the start config/manifest makes no difference in error, though corrupting the config does bring a DotNot related error when it tries to start.

It's not any known software hijacking the window and crashing it, as there is no window to render, and I tried it with nothing open. There's no Vulkan debug info from the event viewer either saying it can't access the device, and my vulkan info says v1.3 and works for DXVK mods + RTX Remix etc.

I know Windows 11 22H2 on Driver 552.12 works (4060M laptop), so the driver isn't *that* old, neither is the GPU as people with GTX 1050tis or something can boot the game on slightly newer drivers + Windows versions.

I feel like it's something to do with an incompatibility DotNet 9.0 has with some Windows 10 20H2 and 21H2 systems, saw some reports on Github for this. Hopefully a bit of time can be put into making sure compatibility is expanded for more Windows 10 versions, or a workaround, especially as Microsoft is making Windows 11 constantly buggier/worse, and I don't want to introduce another variable that could hurt all my other games (sorry, but yeah) and folks with ~5yr old laptops that could meet min specs (ie, RTX 3060M + 5800H on Win10 20/21H2) with more VRAM optimization

I have a test system with a 3080 (non Ti) so I could try installing that driver version and see what happens! It might also be the older windows version as 20H2 is pretty old and was known to have some bugs. I can install a newer version of Windows but test the old driver just to be sure.

Good to know the 4060M works! I'll add that to the "known good" list.

Windows 11Ryzen 5800x3D16AMD6750XT1225.11.12560x1440N/AGame Launches but crashes half way into loading just the earth on lowest setting. I think the game isnt using vram enough as that peaks at 4 but normal RAM spikes to 16.

At 1440p, and with textures set to Unlimited and Shows set to 8K, and 8X anti-aliasing, I see between 10.5 - 12GB VRAM usage around the Moon and Earth with stock vessels. I have not yet tested around other planetary bodies.

ONThe game is basically unplayable because even though the game itself runs extremely smooth, it also causes system wide choppiness and lag spikes that are very frequent, especially when near a celestial body. The game makes my System RAM jump up about 20% and my vRAM usage is always at and never goes above 4 GB (always reads 3.9/8.0 GB in the task manager). There is not a singular graphics setting in the game that affects performance, no matter if the graphics settings are at all max or all at their lowest.

Hey nice, same config as me. Yeah, agreed on "system wide choppiness", it's **very** weird. Wonder if it's doing something to shared memory or eating up our CPU's small cache a bunch. Never seen this with other games, even RT demos and stuff.

Do you have a Lenovo LOQ 15 7840HS too? That's what my config is

I actually have a Dell G15 5535 Gaming Laptop. Interesting enough, the shared memory on the graphics card is also capped, staying at 0.2/7.7 GB. The only other game I've seen this happen with is actually Kerbal Space Program with a lot of visual mods, but even then it hasn't been nearly this bad and also I have been able to improve it by adjusting graphics settings unlike how it's been with KSA where adjusting graphics settings doesn't do anything.

OFFGame playable. Generally stays between 80-120fps at graphics settings listed below. Note: I had to manually tell windows to use the dedicated GPU since it was defaulting to iGPU and crashing.

I can't wait for feature updates. I love how performant the game seems so far.

OFFFPS is steady 40-50, but when I turn the HUD off, I get double to triple to that.

Occasional crashes and frequent graphics bugs such as flickering, terrain not rendering at all (including water).

The game takes around 4-6 GB of system ram and about the same VRAM.

I get past the initial configuration options and loading begins, but it gets as far as 'spherical billboarding' and then either freezes (becomes unresponsive) or crashes to desktop if I have textures set to 'unlimited'. The same thing happens with any of the three systems.
