    It should be possible to very slightly affect your speed via ejecting fuel/material from your ship. That is all.

    Excellent idea. Given that mods are a foundational part of KSA, something like this could potentially be useful for dev as well as the community.

    100% planetary biomes - this is an opportunity to go above and beyond what Kerbal did; way beyond. Could potentially add NPC's of some kind. Planets should have plenty of variety so there's motivation to explore.
