Alien Animals

One of the pillars of the game has been stated to be Wonder and I feel like animals could be a huge part of it. KSP planets and even Kerbin itself were boring because they were deserts, there were some plants sure, but one of the most wonderous thing we have on our planet are the animals, which KSP lacked and I feel that KSA could do so much better.

Just think about it: As you enter Jool, you see giant sky whales flying around. Or when you land on Eve, weird ground crawlers adapted to each environment.

It could even serve as a reason to explore our own home planet or to land multiple times in each moon/planet, to discover all its species. It would serve as a reason to actually explore each planet, beyond collecting science or completing missions (or the KSA equivalent). These animals could also interact with the player, they could make landings or travel more interesting, making it harder or easier, there could be friendly animals and territorial ones (Example: Orcas sinking ships off the coast in real life, Leviathans in Subnautica).

I know this is a very expensive task, to design, animate and implement animals into KSA but I think they would be such a good addition.

Sounds very NMS! I'd love variety in planets, some rocky with no atmosphere, some with different levels of life, from basic cells and more complex organisms, all the way to plants, animals and even non-carbon based lifeforms. It would totally add a lot of playability.

Speaking of variety in planets, I'd also love to see not only different biomes like in KSP, but also difference in weather / temperature.

That would be nice.

I think this is a great idea, but it should be very realistic. No sky whales, more so microbes which could appear as images in science reports, or the KSA equivalent.

I see. Its not a real animal or realistic for Earth, but sky whales are physically possible. I took that idea from the Kurzgesagt video I linked in the post, I recommend checking it out, it's very cool.

I am not against sky whales, they are really cool. But if added, they should be realistic. They can look a bit stylized, like Subnautica, but realism should be first, in my opinion. I have in fact seen the kurzgesagt video in question, it is very good. But like, you know what I mean right? We shouldn't have macroscopic life like Earth's on a Super Venus, maybe microscopic life if its realistic. Then again, I have no problem with someone making a mod adding lifeforms to various planets like in NMS. :)
