Hello, I think it would be good to let people delete posts they've made to the forums.

The current system where you have to message a moderator is inconvenient, and I feel like I would be wasting your time.

I have a post from a long time ago that no longer serves any purpose, I've never asked to have it deleted because I didn't want to bother you with something so trivial (the post I wanted to delete is https://forums.ahwoo.com/threads/jupiter-only-temporarily-removed.483/ BTW). I only just thought of making a feature request after a conversation on the discord, though I'm surprised it hasn't already been suggested.

This is on our radar! The forum is currently set up this way to help us with moderation, but we are looking into ways of making it easier for everyone to delete their posts.

I can see how for certain mistaken posts and the like, but would there be some sort of limitations on this? Like a set window after a post is made to delete it? Because part of the appeal of forums and decentralized web content (versus something like Discord) is search-ability and longevity. That is to say, what consideration would be given to user being able to go back and delete all of their posts dating back years? I can imagine the potential impact on forum history, modding resources, etc. if someone could wipe all of that out on a whim. Maybe some of that depends on privacy policy / TOS details about user data/content retention and rights that I know nothing about as well.

Yeah this is what we need to balance: Moderation and Longevity of Information. It's one of the reasons why we implemented the forums, so information doesn't get lost in Discord. It's something we'll be discussing as a team as there's a few different avenues available - I know some forums have the set window limit you mentioned, which could be one of the options we look at.
