KSA crashes on loading first Time (AMD Radeon RX 6700XT)

When trying out the game for the first time and loading the solar system or earth only (it doesn't matter) it freezes the game on Spherical Billboarding. It loads everything before that just fine, then freezes. I don't know if this is normal but when I then move my mouse around and click stuff, the entire game crashes. This is not what I expected obviously. But then I just restarted the game from AMD Adrenalin and it froze again. This time I just left it. After about 5-10min it actually unfreezes and loads the game. After that, the issue seems to be fixed. Every other time I startup the game now, it loads just fine, really quickly. As I said, I don't know if that is supposed to be that way but I feel like if it is and needs to load longer on first load it should tell you that and not freeze completely and crash.

My PC Specs: RX 6700XT, i7 12700K, 32GB 3200mhz.

I had a very similar thing, got to spherical billboard loading and crashed to desktop. Since first run this is happening and does not matter the settings.

I am including my dxdiag, aswell as the error shown in event viewer. This shall hopefully help.

Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
RAM: 32GB
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600XT

Same issue here with a RX 6600 GPU. Dean said something before about AMD 5000 and 6000 series GPUs having problems so they likely already know about this and are working on it. Maybe in the meantime some warning on start-up for users using those sort of GPUs would be nice cos I would've given up on it if I hadn't seen your post.

Did run KSA on RX6600 quite successfully. Had to terminate all the rest processes which were consuming VRAM, so I managed to run Solar System with 4k Vessel textures and shadows, 4k shadows and 8k textures for Surface (or whatever second thing is named).

Also made benchmarking, and KSA already shows 40-60 FPS almost in most heavy scenarios, and 60+ in more light scenarios.

Quite a lot of people are having a VK_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST error on AMD, I've also reported a similar issue in a bug thread that looked more similar at the time.
We should somehow find out why the drivers peace out, mine reports a GCVM_L2_PROTECTION_FAULT_STATUS error with a "radv: GPUVM fault detected".
I'm playing on a Radeon RX 7900 XTX with 24G VRAM (and 128G RAM otherwise), so it's probably not an out-of-mem issue. (reducing texture size to 2MB does nothing, but setting "ocean = false" and "atmosphere = false" in settings.toml and loading spacecraft only (no planet/moon) lets me play with thrusters.
Attempting to load the planet or switch to kitten triggers a crash with VK_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST.
