Suggestions for Improving the Vehicle Editor

After the improvements to the vehicle editor, the interface has gotten a lot better, but the downside is that the preview boxes for selectable parts in the sidebar are too small, making it hard to see the options. Also, the background could use some improvement. If you don't have any ideas for it right now, you can just use any of the three provided ground launch positions as a temporary background.

It's all still very WIP! I bet the visual polish is on its way once a good chunk of the functionality and layout is put together. You're right though, the huge part categories and little thumbnails are bit backwards huh.
