Game Version

2026.6.2.4531

Operating System

Windows 11

What Happened

Close to the surface or atmosphere the vehicle.AccelerationBody property is always 0, no matter the acting forces. This property is also shown by the celestial info window.
For earth it happens around 150km or something above the surface while on the mun it happens at I think 8km above the surface.

What Was Expected

The vehicle.AccelerationBody should show the acting forces correctly in all cases.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Start the rocket on the surface of any celestial body
  2. Open the celestial info for the current vehicle
  3. Once in the air the shown acceleration will remain 0 until a sufficient height is reached or the vehicle is standing still on the surface

Reproduction Rate

always

Additional Info

  • While being landed the surface gravity will be shown correctly
    • Any movment on the surface will also cause this bug
  • This only happens with the newest version

The release notes mention ReadOnlyPhysicsStates, let me know if it can be used to get the body relative acceleration or if there's a different intended method to get it. Thanks.
