Game Version

2026.10.7.5541

Operating System

Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (Build 26200)

What Happened

The game crashes instantly on launch before displaying any window or loading screen.

Looking at the generated log file, an unhandled exception occurs during Vulkan renderer initialization inside `RenderCore.Systems.BindlessTextureLibrary..ctor`. The AMD Vulkan driver returns UINT32_MAX (4,294,967,295) for `maxDescriptorSetUpdateAfterBindSampledImages` (indicating no driver limit), which appears to be signed-cast into `-1`. The engine logs "Device supports only -1 update-after-bind sampled images per set; bindless texture capacity reduced from 1024" and then crashes with `ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Non-negative number required. (Parameter 'capacity')` when allocating the internal pool list with capacity -1.

What Was Expected

he Vulkan renderer should handle the unlimited driver property without signed integer underflow, initialize the engine, and open the game window / main menu.

Reproduction Steps

1. Install KSA build 2026.10.7.5541.
2. Launch KSA.exe on a PC with an AMD Radeon GPU (e.g. RX 5700 XT).
3. The process terminates immediately without rendering a window.

Reproduction Rate

Always (100% on every launch)

Additional Info

Hardware Specs:
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary (Driver: 32.0.21045.5002)
- CPU: Intel Core i9-11900KF @ 3.50GHz
- RAM: 32 GB

I can confirm the same error happens on Linux with RADV and AMDVLK drivers.

Same crash on a different AMD card, so this does not look limited to the RX 5700 XT.

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT, 12 GB
Driver: AMD Software Adrenalin 26.9.2, clean install. Same crash on the previous driver 32.0.31019.2002 (dated 2026-05-29).
OS: Windows 11
Game: build from 2026-10-02, installed from the official Ahwoo installer.

Every launch dies at the same point, before any window or loading screen. Latest log:
