The RATE mode achieves the practical value of a target offset for most cases, I think. Not saying a custom target wouldn't be useful, but I don't think the current tools should hold you back much.

In this case, I believe that your engine is not activated. If you activate the stage, does Delta-V calculate for you?

Thank you for your report! Are you running a configuration with just the Earth or Earth/Moon? If so, I believe the error was fixed in revision 3406, which should be available in the next public build. Please let us know if it's still a problem after that!

The date for the major planet ephemerides is commented in the XML. The rest of the bodies had orbit data pulled somewhat arbitrarily. The MeanAnomalyAtEpoch parameter is deprecated and won't be used again.

This is known - the buoyancy simulation is not stable for dense atmospheres at the moment. Will be fixed eventually.

That doesn't really make sense - orbits themselves aren't ascending or descending, they are just inclined (or not). You can be on the ascending or descending _leg_ of an orbit, but that doesn't mean your inclination is changing. The normal definition of a negative inclination is a retrograde...

You are still in an ascending orbit in this screenshot, look at the orientation of South America. Remember the Earth has axial tilt!

The sliding is a side effect of the spamming exceptions, which should no longer happen.

This does work but only when the UI "box" around the planet appears (usually you have to zoom out). I agree this is a bit tedious at the moment.

I finally got around to looking at this and I believe it is now fixed. The situation is already broken in the save so it will still have the error, but I don't believe new flights should have this issue once a new public build is pushed. Thanks for the report, and let me know if it happens again!

At the moment we only use CCF when close to a celestial body and CCI when farther away. CCI with f64 will get you millimeter precision out to approximately the orbit of Pluto, so it's almost good enough even for the real solar system. We do the CCF <-> CCI transition approximately at the...
