I will try and update this list as new solutions are found. Please contact me if you know of an issue that is not mentioned here that has a solution or workaround.
Game launches, but crashes when attempting to load a system:
Check the log in "\Documents\my games\Kitten Space Agency\Logs\". If it says "VK_ERROR_OUT_OF_DEVICE_MEMORY" anywhere, then you are running out of VRAM.
How to fix:
1. Lower graphics settings and/or load a smaller system
Game launches but shows only a blank screen
This appears to be due to the settings file being corrupted.
How to fix
1. Go to "\Documents\My Games\Kitten Space Agency\" and delete the "settings.toml" file
2. Re-launch the game
Game fails to launch:
This may be an issue with your folder permissions or a driver issue.
How to fix:
A. Permissions issue

1a. For ultra low graphics settings see https://forums.ahwoo.com/threads/ultra-low-quality-config.187/#post-1783
1b. I have also made a mod that allows you to load specific planets, so you can still explore them even if you don't have enough VRAM to load the whole system https://forums.ahwoo.com/threads/lonely-planets-0-9-9.483/

This may be an issue with your folder permissions or a driver issue.
How to fix:
A. Permissions issue
1. Go to "Windows security"
2. Go to "Virus & threat protection"
3. Scroll down and click on "Manage ransomware protection"
3a. If "Controlled folder access" is off this is not your issue and these steps will not solve it; instead see section B
4. Click "Allow access through Controlled folder access"
5. Click "Add an allowed app" and select "Browse all apps"
6. Navigate to the KSA executable (not the desktop shortcut) and select it
B. Driver issue1. Update your drivers
1a. If this does not work you can add a bug report here https://forums.ahwoo.com/threads/the-game-doesnt-open.861/
