Hello, I would like to report an issue that occurs intermittently when loading into Earth orbit.
This happens on a completely clean, unmodded installation, and I have reproduced it multiple times on v2025.11.5.2847.
What I expected to happen
The Earth should render normally, showing its ocean layer, cloud layer and atmospheric scattering as intended.
What actually happens
Sometimes, immediately after loading any environment (all of them place the spacecraft in Earth orbit by default), the planet appears extremely overexposed and washed out.
Instead of showing the expected ocean and cloud layers, Earth becomes a bright cyan-white mass with no visible detail or proper lighting.
The rest of the scene (spacecraft, UI, stars, etc.) renders correctly; only Earth is affected.
This issue happens randomly during initial load.
Steps to reproduce
Additional information
Operating system: Arch Linux
Desktop environment: KDE Plasma (Wayland)
Proton versions tested: several recent official Proton releases and multiple Proton-GE builds
Launchers tested: Steam, Heroic Games Launcher, Lutris
Mods: None
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (16 GB VRAM)
RAM: 64 GB DDR5 (quad channel)
Monitor: 32:9 (7680x2160) at 240 Hz
Storage: Samsung NVMe 980 Pro 2 TB
Power supply: 1000 W

Steps to reproduce
- Launch the game normally.
- Load any environment (all start with the spacecraft already orbiting Earth).
- Occasionally, Earth appears overexposed with no proper ocean or cloud detail.
- Returning to the main menu and reloading sometimes fixes the issue, sometimes not.
