Look, i have a couple of questions about KSA although this is an AMAZING game! Is this supposed to be a KSP2 successor, or a different inspired brand?

The game has been described as a "spiritual successor" to the KSP franchise by a lot of people. A notable goal of the game is to be "KSP but better" but in doing so intends to be a fun and educational game that inspires the next generation of explorers.
So KSA plans to forge its own identity as it continues to grow, but is grown from very Kerbal flavored soil.
