Hello Kitten Space Agency team,
I'm a player from the Chinese community, and recently I've been following the development of Kitten Space Agency with great interest.
I noticed that the game currently doesn't have Simplified Chinese support. I'd like to offer my help as a volunteer translator if the team is interested.
To be transparent, I'm not a professional translator. I'm just an enthusiast player. My English is not perfect either, and I often rely on translation tools when communicating. However, I have many years of experience playing Kerbal Space Program and other space simulation games, so I'm quite familiar with the terminology commonly used by Chinese-speaking players.
One thing I've learned is that direct machine translation often produces terms that feel unnatural or unfamiliar to the Chinese space-simulation community. I understand many of the established Chinese names and expressions that players actually use, and I believe I could help make the localization feel more natural and approachable.
Of course, I would not rely solely on my own translation. I would carefully review everything using multiple tools such as GPT and Gemini, compare terminology, and perform additional proofreading to improve consistency and accuracy.
I'm not asking for payment. I simply enjoy the project and would be happy to contribute some of my free time to help bring the game to more Chinese-speaking players.
If the team is interested or would like to discuss localization support, I'd be glad to help in any way I can.
Thank you for your time, and I wish the project continued success!
Best regards,
A Chinese space-simulation enthusiast
