Won't start at all

Hey! I'd like to help you but i need a bit more info:

1. What's your hardware and Operating System? (GPU, CPU, RAM, Windows/Linux)
2. Where is the game installed? (e.g. C:\Program Files\... or somewhere else)
3. Check for logs in C:\Users\YourName\Documents\My Games\Kitten Space Agency\Logs\ . Does the directory exist? If yes: what are the contents of the log file?
4. If the logs file is empty: check Windows Event Viewer (Win+R > eventvwr > Windows Logs > Application > "Find" (on the right side panel of the window if you are using windows 10) -> KSA") for entries with source ".NET Runtime" or "Application Error" around the time you tried to launch

There's also a list of known issues on the forum: https://forums.ahwoo.com/forums/ksa-bug-reports.15/ and https://forums.ahwoo.com/forums/technical-support.6/
Please check if you can find threads similar to your problem for a solution.

Thanks for the details.

KSA can't create its data folder under your Documents path.
There have been 2 similar Threads with people having similar problems, so they you might be able to solve them similarly:

- https://forums.ahwoo.com/threads/game-wont-start-help.839/

Things i would try, in order:

1. Create the folder manually (not likely the solution, but worth a try)
Open Explorer and create this path by hand:
C:\Users\joaki\OneDrive - (provinceName))\Documents\My Games\Kitten Space Agency\logs

2. Add a Windows Security / Defender exclusion for the install folder (C:\Program Files\Kitten Space Agency\). See https://forums.ahwoo.com/threads/game-wont-start-help.839/ and https://forums.ahwoo.com/threads/permission-issue-crash.266/ for instructions on how to do so.

In general like all stuff on the internet that is similar: DO THE FOLLOWING ONLY IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING OR SOMEONE YOU TRUST (Like maybe the devs) tells you do. DONT DO IT BECAUSE A STRANGER LIKE ME TOLD YOU TO DO IT.

1. Add a Windows Defender exclusion for the game folder
Go to Windows Security -> Virus & threat protection -> Manage settings -> Exclusions -> Add an exclusion -> Folder, then add D:<your install dir>\Kitten Space Agency\

3. Force the OneDrive folder to be local

Your Documents folder is redirected into a managed OneDrive (I can read that from your one-drive path because it belongs to an province in northern Europe. You might want to edit that message if you do not want to publish that information in this thread). Managed OneDrive setups often use Files-On-Demand placeholders and have group policies that block apps from creating
folders or writing file.

Right-click the My Games folder in Explorer -> "Always keep on this device".

Hi again, I have just now realized that the files within that OneDrive file belongs to a Microsoft account i had as a student and the account is no longer active. So there is no way for me to get all those files locally on my PC.

But thanks for the help anyway Maxi.

Hi,
i am sorry that i was not able to help you fix this yet.

Out of curiosity: Did you also try the

"

There is a chance that OneDrive is not the problem here and that it might get fixed by this. It has helped with other BugReports before.
