WARNING: distances might be a bit wrong. I am going from the few screenshots I made and video for the last 20 minutes.
1.962PM - Ship is bit jittery
13PM - Ship position has resulotion larger then ship size
71.9PM - Ship stopped rotating. It is now moving eradically
99PM - So close. Kraken itself has a kraken bug. The ship is still inseparable - I am not sure if the ship even moves on realtime simulation
99 999 999 GM - AAAAND we are here. Mission successvlcsnap-2025-11-15-18h24m46s802.png
Edit: messed up Eta and Peta suffixes. Eta > Peta > Tera > Giga

Nice, 9.9 x 10¹⁶ meters is about 10 light years, so this is as far as anyone will be getting without the devs adding galactic-level frames of reference.

Proxima Centauri is located about 4.24 light-years away. But I don't know if the floating point values in the game are stable enough to be playable at that kind of distance.

New values for when you come into the sphere of influence of another star and have a lower precision galactic frame of reference sounds like the right kind of solution.

I am currently at 2.1*10^7 AU. Somewhere between 6*10^6 AU and now camera got swallowed by the rocket. It was intermittenly swallowed from sometime before 5*10^6 AU

They are not stable. Before you get to Proxima Centauri, you will most likely not be able to move at all at warp 1 at all since resolution of double at Alpha centauri is 8 meters.

Another update:
3.7*10^7AU - Rocket once again visible. Also I have reached the speed of light.
4.1*10^7AU - Camera is sometimes clipping in rocket again. It is slow enough that it happens once every 6 hours
5*10^7AU - We are now once again permanently inside the rocket
